Construction applications in coastal environments subject to constant salt fog exposure is commonplace. Our DuracoatXT coating is not subject to limitations on “distance” from an ocean coastline. Almost all other exterior screws in the market note a disclaimer somewhere on their packaging – “not to be used within 5 miles of the ocean and/or coastline”. This kind of limitation is very restrictive and difficult to “measure” when in use in this type of environment. All Fastap exterior screws do not have this limitation.
